Meet PasteGuard
PasteGuard is a Mac clipboard utility that helps keep sensitive information out of AI chats, messages, tickets, and other places where you paste text. It checks copied content locally and replaces detected values, such as email addresses, credentials, and card numbers, with labeled tokens. Ordinary text can remain as copied, while the original sensitive values are held in an encrypted local vault.
When an AI response includes those tokens, a restore action can put the original values back on your Mac. You can review recent detections, maintain an ignore list, pause protection, or choose a manual safe-paste workflow. Additional options include custom rules, imported word lists, and an on-device Apple Intelligence check for supported systems.
