Meet Peras

Peras helps developers keep Claude Code and Codex sessions within a chosen usage budget. The local command-line tool watches the usage information available for a subscription, estimates how the week is progressing, and warns, asks for confirmation, or pauses an agent when a configured threshold is reached.

Users can set project and daily budgets, inspect recent usage, and compare their pace with the remaining allowance. Peras focuses on plan percentages rather than pretending every conversation has an exact dollar cost, and its documentation explains gaps in what can be observed. The CLI is open source, with an optional macOS menu bar app for viewing the same information.
