Meet Pixel Soup

Pixel Soup creates animated Mac wallpapers from a combination of shapes, palettes and dithering styles. Users can shuffle a design, adjust its parameters and let it move behind desktop icons, or freeze a frame as a still wallpaper. Personal photos can also be converted through the dithering tools. An edge handle opens the editor without keeping a conventional app window in the way, and automatic rotation can introduce a new design on a schedule. Export options save images for different screens and formats. Rendering happens on the Mac's GPU, with support for multiple displays and both Apple silicon and Intel hardware.
