Proton Mail

Meet Proton Mail

Proton Mail is an email service with apps for the web, desktop, and mobile devices. Messages between Proton users are encrypted end to end, and password-protected emails let users extend that protection to recipients with other providers. Stored email bodies and attachments use zero-access encryption. The service also blocks email trackers and provides tools for identifying spam and phishing attempts.

Users can organize messages with folders, labels, and inbox categories, manage subscriptions, schedule outgoing email, and snooze conversations. Import tools help move existing messages, contacts, and calendars from another provider. Free and paid plans offer different storage and address allowances, with paid options adding features such as custom domains. Individuals can use a Proton address, while organizations can manage email under their own domain.
