Meet TabMail

TabMail adds AI assistance to existing email accounts, with an iPhone app and a Thunderbird extension. It supports Gmail, Outlook, iCloud, and IMAP accounts. Messages can be summarized and tagged by the action they may need, helping users decide what to reply to, archive, or remove.

A conversational interface lets users search their inbox, understand a thread, and prepare actions for confirmation. Suggested replies can be reviewed and refined with instructions about tone or length before sending. Personalization settings are stored locally, and AI features can be switched off. The clients are open source, while the AI service processes content through TabMail's backend when those features are used.
