Make your MacBook react to taps, motion, and connected devices

SlapMac is a playful Mac menu-bar app that reacts to movement with sound effects. On supported MacBooks, it detects taps and varies the response volume with the measured force. Users can choose voice packs, adjust sensitivity, and set a cooldown so repeated movement does not trigger sounds continuously.
Other features extend the idea beyond taps. USB events can trigger reactions, lid effects animate the desktop as the computer closes, and motion cues add visual movement indicators at the screen edges. A motion-triggered alarm mode is also available. Hardware and macOS requirements matter because these features depend on compatible sensors; the website lists the supported MacBook requirements before download.
