Convert screen regions into structured Markdown on your Mac

Snapdown converts selected screen regions into Markdown on an Apple silicon Mac. A keyboard shortcut starts a capture, and local text recognition produces content that can be copied or saved. The application aims to preserve useful structure such as headings, lists, paragraphs, reading order, and tables instead of returning only unformatted text.
Aggregate Mode appends multiple captures to one document, making it useful for collecting error messages, interface details, settings, or research material. Files remain ordinary Markdown or text rather than requiring a proprietary workspace. Processing works offline on supported Macs running macOS 14 or later, without uploading screenshots. A limited trial precedes a one-time license, and extracted text should be checked where accuracy matters.
