Hamdori

Meet Hamdori

Hamdori places a small 3D hamster in a transparent window on your desktop. Pet it, pick it up, or hand it a toy while you work. Seeds appear as you type, and the hamster sleeps when you step away, giving the companion a routine that follows your day without needing constant attention.

A built-in focus timer lets you take breaks together, while a file drawer holds shortcuts to files dropped onto the pet. The application is available for Apple silicon Macs and Windows through a one-time purchase. It uses activity counts or timing to react to your presence, rather than reading the words you type.
