Meet Mectrics

Mectrics is a free, open-source system monitor for macOS that displays performance information in the menu bar. Users choose which readings deserve a permanent item and which belong in a shared dashboard. CPU, memory, battery, network, disk, and supported hardware sensors can be inspected through detailed popovers rather than opening several utilities.

Configurable thresholds trigger alerts when a condition persists, with a dashboard badge pointing to the affected metric. A bundled read-only command-line tool can check those rules or stream alert events for scripts and headless Macs. Mectrics runs locally without telemetry, supports several interface languages, and requires a compatible macOS version; available hardware readings vary by machine.
