A self-hosted interface for local and cloud AI models

Open WebUI is a self-hosted interface for AI conversations, models, and tools. It connects with local runtimes such as Ollama and supported cloud providers. Retrieval and other capabilities depend on the models and services configured for the workspace.
Python tools and functions extend how the interface works, with a community library sharing prompts, configurations, and extensions. Organizations can deploy it on their infrastructure and use enterprise administration options where needed. Hosting the interface locally determines where that interface runs; choosing a cloud model still sends the model work through that provider. Users select those connections around the workflow they want to run.
