Bitwarden Secrets Manager
Store infrastructure secrets and scope access for machines and teams
Open-source secrets storage, dynamic credentials, and encryption services

OpenBao manages application secrets, certificates, and encryption keys through a central service. Teams can store key-value secrets behind access policies or generate credentials on demand for supported systems, including databases and Kubernetes. Lease, renewal, and revocation controls manage the useful lifetime of those dynamic credentials.
Its identity-based access system connects permissions across providers, while encryption services centralize key management for application data. OpenBao is a community-driven, open-source fork of Vault. Teams operate it within their infrastructure and integrate applications through its APIs, using shared policies to control access instead of distributing long-lived credentials independently across each workload.
