Meet Upstream
Upstream adds an AI-assisted workspace on top of Gmail. It sorts messages into focused views for items needing a reply, follow-ups, VIPs, and lower-priority mail, helping users separate active conversations from newsletters and other noise. Draft replies use the thread, past exchanges, and the user's writing patterns as context.
The user can edit a prepared reply before sending it; the service states that it does not send messages without them. Upstream can also bring conversations back for follow-up, incorporate connected meeting notes, and support private team comments within email threads. Keyboard shortcuts, command search, and multiple-account access keep common inbox actions close at hand.
