IFTTT links apps and devices through automations called Applets. Choose an event in one service as the trigger, then an action in another service as the response. You can enable a prepared Applet or customize the connections and settings yourself.
A routine might organize phone screenshots into an album or control a connected device from a shortcut. The service covers personal tasks, home devices, and business tools, with some options supporting multiple actions. Each Applet works with the triggers and actions its connected services provide. That makes it a way to assemble recurring tasks without building a separate integration between every pair of tools.
