NVivo organizes qualitative research around sources, codes, cases, memos, and analytical questions. Its browser-based AI Cloud environment includes AURA, an assistant that summarizes source material, suggests initial topics, and helps explore relationships within a project. Researchers can review, edit, confirm, or reject the suggested analysis and trace AI-supported steps back to their evidence.

NVivo Desktop remains a separate option for existing research workflows. AI Cloud is currently offered through individual subscriptions, with team and organization access on a waitlist. Researchers can choose the environment suited to their project, keeping the coding framework and interpretation under their own control.
