Meet Reelbird
Reelbird is an open-source screen recorder for Mac that combines quick sharing with later editing. Users can capture a display, window, or area while recording camera, microphone, and system audio on separate tracks. With sharing configured, the app uploads during recording and provides a link when the take ends.
The same take can be refined with automatic zooms, cursor adjustments, captions, audio cleanup, backgrounds, and silence removal. Updating the shared version keeps its existing link. Videos remain on the Mac, while sharing can use an S3-compatible storage bucket or optional hosted service. A command-line tool and MCP server support automated recording workflows.
