Meet Shelfinder
Shelfinder adds a floating shelf to macOS for collecting and moving files between locations. Users drag documents, images, folders, and other files onto the shelf, then carry them to another app or Finder window. Frequently used items can be pinned for quick access.
The shelf can appear with a shortcut or mouse gesture and sit horizontally or vertically beside Finder. Visual styles help it fit the desktop, and recent items are also accessible from the menu bar. Shelfinder is useful when gathering attachments, organizing a set of files, or moving items across several windows without keeping every source and destination visible at once.
