Turn raw screen recordings into edited product videos
An open-source video editor with native timelines and broad format support

Shotcut is an open-source video editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux. FFmpeg support lets it work directly with many audio and video formats, combining different resolutions and frame rates within a project. Dockable panels organize media properties, playlists, filters, editing history, and export jobs. Frame navigation and keyboard playback controls support precise editing.
The editor also handles screen, webcam, and audio capture, network streams, and compatible Blackmagic input or preview hardware. Users can drag files into the workspace, arrange footage, apply filters, and prepare an export. The source code is public, providing another route for people who want to inspect or contribute to the editor.
