Meet Textwhisk
Textwhisk adds a floating action bar to text selected in a Mac app. A ready-made action can change capitalization, while a custom action can perform the edits you repeat throughout the day. You can paste your own JavaScript rule or describe a transformation and use an API key to generate the rule once. Saved rules then run offline. Prompt-based actions work differently. They send the current selection and a saved instruction to the configured AI service each time, which suits tasks such as summarizing a passage or changing its tone.
