Customize Mac battery alerts and inspect device energy use
See which Mac apps use power and what quitting them could save.

WattMate is a Mac battery monitor that connects power use to the applications and processes behind it. Its menu-bar view shows apps in watts and estimates how much longer the current charge could last if an app were closed. Helper processes are grouped with their parent application, while coding-agent sessions can appear as separate entries.
The app also tracks battery health, charging sessions, and overnight wake-ups. When a coding agent leaves active work running after a session, WattMate identifies the process and offers a choice to quit or keep it. Historical summaries help users compare runs and understand how their workload affects battery life over time.
