CleanShot X is a Mac toolkit for capturing and explaining what is on screen. Take a screenshot, capture scrolling content, or record a session, then add annotations or redact details. Backgrounds and text recognition help prepare the capture, while history and pinned screenshots keep material available for reference.

Recordings can include a webcam, microphone, system audio, clicks, and keystrokes. Trim the result or add zooms before exporting video or a GIF. Optional CleanShot Cloud supplies sharing links and comments attached to captures, with team features through relevant plans. A bug report can carry both the recorded action and annotations about the exact point to inspect.
